It matters becasue you don't want to sound like shit. You don't want to look like it either. I went with Arospeed mufflers because I've heard they're decent* mufflers. I'd kick myself if the balls every night before I went to bed if I paid $500+ for two mufflers and 6ft. of pipe. * decent - mufflers that don't look/sound like garbage.
